AAAAarrgghhhh.

Stupid computers! Just as I’ve got Windows Vista set up exactly the way I want it on my MacBook Pro, it decides to stop booting (because of something I did, yes, but keep reading). You’re supposed to be able to insert the Vista DVD and do a repair of the boot crap and it’ll start working again. Helpfully, it even suggested to do this. So I said yes… and it failed. With no useful error message. So I try to do it manually, and despite being able to read the disk, it can’t do any repairs, but still, no useful error message. So I decide to just nuke Vista and start over again, and it tells me I can’t even install to the drive I’ve already got it on because it’s the wrong kind of partition! Why the hell can’t microsoft add support for a universal partitioning scheme that’s been on every UNIX system for who knows how long, and support EFI for booting like they said they would?

At any rate it’s now 2:30 AM and I’ve got classes to go to. Wheeeeeeee.
